Reddito minimo e output gap: trucchetto contabile o questione politica?

In line with our previous work, we simulate the effects of a policy measure designed to achieve a higher output gap. By increasing Italy’s participation rate we aim at finding a greater stance for fiscal policy that would allow for the deficit-financing of a minimum income conditional to active job-seeking. We also consider feasible effects on real output.

PIL potenziale e tasso di partecipazione: proposta per finanziare il reddito minimo

We suggest a policy measure, consistent with UE budget constraints, which aims to achieve a higher output gap through an increase in the participation rate: the greater stance for fiscal policy would allow for the possibility to finance a minimum income (conditional to active job-seeking). An empirical example is provided for the Italian case.

Una ipotesi di rafforzamento della Pubblica Amministrazione nel Mezzogiorno

This paper deals with regional divergences in Italy. It is shown that it depends on phenomena of circular cumulative causation, based on Gunnar Myrdal (1957), amplified by the worsening performance of the public sector in Southern Italy. On the economic policy ground, it is suggested a special plan devoted to hiring workers in the public sector of the South and of incentive to increase productivity.

La cooperazione tra lavoratori dello spettacolo e la crisi pandemica.

In this paper we present an empirical study on the perception of the cooperative firm among entertainment and performing arts workers. In particular, the study is based on workers belonging to associations established during the first pandemic emergency from Covid-19 in 2020. Our study reveals a perception of deterioration of the cooperative model. At the same time, the participants in our research demonstrate a confidence in the ideal cooperative firm and look with interest at new cooperatives in other working sectors. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews and focus groups with cooperative and non-cooperative associated workers.
